Produce in the Park is BACK for Summer 2021!

Produce in the Park (PIP) is BACK for Summer 2021! Enjoy some local, yummy produce and improve food access in Providence! Please find more information about the program and the forms to sign up, below!

WHAT IT IS: PIP is a market share program that makes fresh produce from local farms available to residents of PVD at various price points. Participants register up front for participation in the entire 7 week program. Each week, registered participants will stop by a PIP market to pick up a “share” of 7-8 portions of delicious, in-season produce from nearby farms. The market share operates on a ‘pay as you can’ basis. When more people pay full price for their shares, the market can accommodate more people paying discounted / subsidized prices for their shares.

WHERE: Participants can choose to pick up at one of two PIP markets this summer:
1) Cabral Park: 515 Wickenden St. Providence, RI, 02903
OR
2) Mount Pleasant Park: 434 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, RI 02908
*note: when you sign up, you’ll have to pick up at the same location every week.

WHEN: The Summer '21 PIP market will run for 7 weeks from July 7 to August 18. Produce pickups are every Wednesday at the above addresses.
Pickup window for Cabral Park: 1-6pm every Wednesday from 7/7 to 8/18
Pickup window for Mount Pleasant Park: 3-6pm every Wednesday from 7/7 to 8/18

WHAT DOES A SAMPLE SHARE LOOK LIKE?:
Here’s what one week’s share might look like in July:
-1 lb summer squash
-1 bag assorted fresh herbs
-1 bunch scallions
-1 bunch chard
-1 bunch kale
-1 lb sweet potatoes
-1 pint strawberries

WHAT IT COSTS:
-Full price share ($21/week, $147 total)
-Discounted / Subsidized share ($14/week, $98 total)
-SNAP/EBT also accepted, please fill out the 'discounted / subsidized' form below to register using SNAP/EBT

HOW TO SIGN UP:
-For full price shares, fill out this form to signup

*note: you’ll have the option to select either Cabral Park or Mount Pleasant Park pickup option in the forms
